Privacy Policy — WallyMax

WallyMax ("the app", "we") is a wallpaper browsing app published by WallyMax. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and who it is shared with. The app does not require an account and never asks for your name, email address, phone number, or any other information that directly identifies you.

Data we collect

WallyMax itself has no user database and no login. However, the app uses third-party services (Google Firebase and Google AdMob) that collect limited technical and usage data, as described below.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, precise location, or payment information. WallyMax has no accounts, so nothing you do in the app is tied to a personal identity.

How the data is used

Advertising — the app is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob.
Analytics — aggregated usage statistics tell us which wallpaper categories to expand.
App functionality and stability — crash reports help us fix bugs; notification tokens deliver the updates you opted into.

We never sell your data, and we do not use it to build a profile that identifies you personally.

Data sharing

Data described above is shared with Google as the provider of Firebase and AdMob. AdMob may share advertising identifiers and ad interaction data with its advertising partners in order to select and measure ads. Their handling of that data is governed by Google's own privacy policies:

Your choices and controls

Ad personalisation — on Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Settings → Privacy → Ads. Deleting it stops personalised advertising; you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalised.
Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland) — if you are in one of these regions, the app shows a consent message the first time it opens, where you can choose whether your data may be used for personalised advertising. You can change that choice at any time from Settings → Privacy settings inside the app.
Notifications — turn push notifications off in the app's Settings screen or in your device's system settings. Turning them off deletes the app's notification token.
Local data — clearing the app's storage, or uninstalling the app, removes everything saved on your device.

Data stored only on your device

The following never leaves your phone and is never sent to us:

Favourites — wallpapers you mark as favourite.
Settings — preferences such as theme, notification toggle, and app icon.
Image cache — wallpapers cached locally for faster loading.

Content delivery

Wallpaper images and catalog files are downloaded from our content delivery network (Cloudflare R2). Standard technical information, such as your IP address, is processed by the CDN in order to deliver the files, as with any website. We do not use it to identify you.

Data security and retention

All data described in this policy is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Analytics and crash data are retained by Google for the periods set out in Google's documentation, and are then deleted automatically. Because WallyMax has no accounts, we hold no personal records that can be looked up, exported, or deleted on request.

Permissions

Internet — to download wallpapers and serve ads.
Set wallpaper — to apply a wallpaper you have chosen.
Notifications — for optional updates about new wallpapers. Fully optional.
Photos/Media — used only when you choose to save a wallpaper to your gallery.

Children

WallyMax is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Advertising in the app is restricted to content rated suitable for teen audiences. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will act on it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
